"Paying Rent & Attention"

What to say thus far? we are 2 weeks into rehearsal and Im just now able to blog..I suppose I have been gathering my thoughts about being apart of this community. When I auditioned I knew I was up for a challenge. Its been almost 10 years since Ive Performed in a musical. So needless to say Im a bit nervous. 

Ive noticed that Ive gotten older and it shows in the mirror : /  After not singing and dancing on an intense level over the years I feel like maybe I lost it! But after Sunday's run through, I feel alot more confident in Myself. The way I decided to approach portraying Tom Collins is to be Myself with a different name. Its fitting that "Rent" is the first musical Ive participated in in some time. In the past Ive experienced some of the same jarring, emotional struggles as adult-hood and its many trials has tested my spirit...

I want to thank all the directors and supporters of this production. I now have the opportunity to reconnect with some high school friends that I haven't performed with since I was in high school. Im ready to dive into this and see where this journey takes Me!
